Product Warranty

What is the warranty period of the products?

All our articles benefit from the legal guarantee provided by the law in the Consumer Code and the Civil Code. It is thus one year as from the date of purchase or the date of delivery of the article.

How long should I keep the original packaging?

You must keep your original packaging for the duration of the warranty period in order to be able to use it if necessary, or to return your product to us for service. You must keep it for one year.

Before purchasing our products

Is the site and the payment secure?

Yes of course, our website has a high end SSL security certificate which prevents any hacking attempt and guarantees a safe navigation. Payment is 100% secure. We offer two payment solutions: PayPal and Mercanet BNP Paribas which are two recognized and reliable payment methods.

Are the delivery times fast?

At MP3MyCar, we offer several delivery options: La Poste, Colissimo, Mondial Relay, Chronopost and GLS for international delivery. We do our best to ship your order as soon as possible. Generally less than 8 hours after placing your order (on working days).

Are the MP3MyCar interfaces compatible with my vehicle?

Our interfaces are compatible with a large number of vehicles, however exceptions exist. Therefore, it is necessary to check on the site where the compatibility is specified for each vehicle and car radio or with our technicians who can inform you quickly.

Where do I connect the MP3MyCar interface?

The interface plugs into the back of your car radio in the slot dedicated to the CD changer. We offer you disassembly keys and tools to remove your car radio from its original location.

Can we continue to use the CD player in front of the car radio once the interface is installed?

Of course, you can continue to use the CD player because it is totally independent from the MP3MyCar interface. However, when using the interface, you must not leave any CD in the player, otherwise the car radio will prefer the CD to the interface.

Are the steering wheel controls retained?

Of course, that's the whole concept of MP3MyCar, keep all your original installation and functionalities of your vehicle and add new ones! You can continue to use your steering wheel controls for example to increase or decrease the sound, pause, change track (track change for USB or Bluetooth interfaces only)...

Will my car radio display the name of the song, the artist with the MP3MyCar interfaces?

Unfortunately no, this is not possible. You won't get any details about the artist's name or the title of the song. However, the interface will display the CD number or the track number.

My vehicle does not have a CD changer, will the interface work?

All the vehicles have a connector for CD charger even if it is not active, so the interface will work with or without CD charger except for Nissan vehicles. Indeed, if the vehicle has a CD charger the interface will not work.

I have a GPS integrated in my vehicle, can I also install an MP3MyCar interface?

It depends on the brand of the vehicle, you must check this with our technicians. As for recent vehicles with fiber optics, they are not compatible with our interfaces.

After placing an order, can we do Click & Collect?

Unfortunately not, our products are only available for delivery.

General installation

Is it necessary to connect the two wires (lugs, male/female surrounded by transparent plastic) together?

Yes, you have to connect these two wires (one inside the other) in order to activate the filtering of the parasites which will avoid any interference when listening to your music.

Specificities for Peugeot and Citroën vehicles

Why do I need to activate the CD changer function?

The activation of the CD changer function is essential for the proper functioning of our USB or Bluetooth interfaces. Indeed, if this function is not active, our products cannot be recognized and therefore cannot be used.

On the other hand, if you already have a 6-CD changer in your vehicle, it is very likely that the CD charger function is already activated and that our products work directly. You will not need to go to a dealership or garage to use our products.

Where can I activate the CD changer function?

Especially for PSA vehicles, activation is essential for a large number of models. Simply go to your Peugeot or Citroën dealer or to a car garage for activation, and they will activate the CD charger function for you via the diagnostic case. The operation is generally very fast. We also offer a complete procedure available on each Peugeot or Citroen product sheet that we sell.

What should I prepare before going to the dealership or garage?

Before going to the dealership or garage to have the CD charger option activated, it is strongly recommended:

- To connect the MP3MyCar interface to the RD3 or RD4 car radio of your Peugeot or Citroën before going to the RDV

- To print the CD loader activation guide and forward it to the technician who will activate the function.

La fonction AUX est également activable auprès de votre concessionnaire ou de vitre garage équipé de la valise de diagnostic. Cependant la fonction AUX doit être utilisée exclusivement pour les câbles auxiliaires ainsi que pour les câbles auxiliaires Bluetooth Peugeot ou Citroën. 

La fonction Chargeur CD, doit être utilisée uniquement pour les interfaces USB ou Bluetooth MP3Mycar.

Si le technicien active la fonction AUX sur votre autoradio et que vous souhaitez utiliser les interfaces USB ou Bluetooth, elles ne pourront pas fonctionner.

Specificities for Audi, Volkswagen, Seat & Skoda vehicles

Where to connect the ground wire on the interface?

You have to connect it to a screw or to the carcass of the car radio (the metal part). We recommend the screw because the connection will be more robust. Without the ground wire connection, the interface will not work properly and you will certainly have interference when listening to audio.

Specificities for Renault vehicles

When I plug in the MP3MyCar interface, why does the sound only come out of the right speaker or only from the left speaker?

This is due to an imbalance of sound on the right or left side of your speakers. To correct this, you can adjust the speakers in the expert menu of your car radio.

I have an Update List car radio, what can you advise me?

For all vehicles with the Update List radio, the auxiliary cables as well as the USB and Bluetooth interfaces are 100% functional.

If you intend to buy an auxiliary cable, you will have to activate the auxiliary function at a dealer or by following our activation guide if it is not already active.

I have a Tuner List car radio, what can you advise me?

For all vehicles with the Tuner List radio, the auxiliary cables are unfortunately not compatible. This type of car radio only accepts USB and Bluetooth interfaces.

Specificities for Nissan vehicles

Where can I connect the red wire and the yellow wire on the interface?

The red wire goes directly to the connector of the after contact and the yellow wire goes directly to the 12V antenna.

After purchasing our products

The product does not meet my expectations or is not compatible with my vehicle? I would like to make an exchange, what is the procedure?

In case of distance selling, you have a period of thirty clear days from delivery to inform us of your desire to withdraw. You will have to inform us of your will to make use of your right of retraction through the RETURN FORM.

It is mandatory to fill in and send this form with your return package, otherwise we will not be able to establish a refund, credit note or exchange.

I would like to know when I will receive my package?

During the preparation of your order, the MP3MyCar team will provide you with a tracking number by email that will allow you to follow the progress of your package until its arrival at your home. Indeed, it allows you to locate the location of your package and to follow its routing through France, Europe or the World. Just click on the link in the email to be redirected to the tracking page.
